About Me
I grew up absolutely loving math, and experienced the privilege of a classroom setting that supported my natural interest and fortified it with academic rigor. In college I followed my passion, music, and realized a second love- education.
After graduating with my Bachelors of Music and working behind a desk in a local bank for several years I realized my educational journey wasn’t over. I enrolled at Bellingham Technical College as a Mechanical Engineering student and graduated three years later with my Bachelors of Applied Science, and an affirmed rekindling of my two passions.
While studying for my second bachelor’s degree I worked as a tutor and instructor to help college students of all ages reach their academic goals. I was blown away by the diversity of life experience I encountered as a peer tutor, and celebrated achievements as heartily as any of my students.
In my experience education can be both a frustrating obstacle and the door granting access to career entry, advancement, and generational wealth for several northwest communities. My mission as a tutor is to turn frustration into triumph- to help students achieve their goals by strengthening foundational curricula and tailoring successful study habits to match the real-life and uniquely individual needs of each student.
By tutoring on an online platform I allow students to be at home with their families, with their homework and books, and build crucial study skills while they handle the demands of everyday life. All you need to take the next step in your life is a computer, an internet connection, and the willingness to try.
